“We Found Love” - Glee Cast
A long awaited ‘Pezberry’ duet, if I do say so myself. I was a bit skeptical at how they would execute the choreography for this number. Yet somehow using synchronized swimming, they made it work.
I will admit though I was a bit upset to see that Naya was not in the water. If you look well enough she would have been in the front section that was in front of Emma. There is a stand in that you can see in a few of the shots.
Naya did do a stellar job with the intro, for what we were able to see of her during this piece.
All in all this was a great cover to ‘We Found Love’ especially given that Rihanna’s version, for most of us, has been played out.
However I think I can vouch for all of us when I say …GIVE US MICHAEL ALREADY!! (We all know that we have been waiting for an MJ episode since forever.)
AHHHH We got #HappyBirthdayNayaRivera to be a TOP World Wide Tweet and one of the TOP Stories on Twitter.
GLEEKS GET SHIT DONE!!!!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAYA !!!!
I tend to write novels so I will try not to do it for this one.
When I met Naya at the Edgewater, New Jersey AT&T Meet & Greet I asked her to write out the word believe for me. Glee turned my life around and I love Santana and Naya. Due to all three I believe in myself again and allow no one to discourage me.
Glee reminds me of my school and that I love theater. Santana is so much me when I was in high school. (Minus the cheer-leading and multiple boyfriends.) Naya is my role model. Her portrayal of Santana is so on-point and I love that she captures the moments perfectly. So many people say “I can relate to this character because that was my story too.” I finally had that moment in ‘Mash-Up’ when Santana was outted. I was outted in H.S. too in an office and it sucks to have that right ripped from you.
At first all I had to connect Naya and I was that we were both Capricorns. (She is January 12th and I am January 13th.) Now I can look at her and say ‘Naya gave me a voice’. People now know the pain I felt when I was outted before I had wanted to and I can say my story was told.
Words can never express how much I thank Naya for all she has done to inspire me. Although we are close in age, I look up to her greatly and will support her in everything she does. I jokingly said we should celebrate our birthdays together however I would love just 10 minutes to sit and actually talk with her.
Since I cannot talk to her I decided to just keep her with me always. I finally got the word ‘Believe’ tattooed and to add to it I also added a shooting star much similar to the one Naya has on her foot. It will be a reminder to me to never stop believing. That I will always have someone like Naya to look to for inspiration.
Thank you Naya for everything you have done and continue to do. You are beyond amazing. I am so happy to have a piece of you with me forever. Means a lot that you took the time to write this out for me. Something so simple that now is the world to me.
Happy Birthday to Naya and I …this is my present to us:
Santana for Halloween. (Yeah I know …I’m no where near her complexion.) lol My attitude fit it perfectly though <3
Lately I have been noticing that a lot of people feel that they cannot be successful in something they love unless it has the approval of someone else. I see so many become discouraged due to feeling like a goal of theirs is too small or will not be liked. I am here to show you that all it takes is a little interest and determination to make anything possible.
For those of you who love Glee troutymouth.com may be an often visited site. If you have not heard of it or visited then what are you waiting for GO CHECK IT OUT! troutymouth.com is a blogging site that allows fans to connect with other fans, catch up and re-cap on Glee, as well as take part in amazing projects.
Without further ado here is my interview with troutymouth.com I hope you all find it informative, inspirational, and above all fun to read.
Q: How many people run troutymouth.com?
A: Just the two of us. Bonnie & Whitney!
Q: Where did the idea for troutymouth.com come from and why ‘trouty mouth’?
A: Just one day at work, we decided that we needed to start a website. It was right after “Original Song” had aired so we were brainstorming ideas. We were joking around that we needed gleehab, which is where the email came from, but unfortunately that domain name was already taken. So then we were trying to just get hilarious… and what was funnier than “Trouty Mouth” from the episode that had just aired? So we went with it. Plus… we love Naya Rivera!
Q: When you first started troutymouth.com did you think it would get this big?
A: Absolutely not. We joke all the time like “Hey remember when TroutyMouthBlog reached 1000 followers?” Or “Remember when the Santana Hand Clap had 30k views?”… we joke about it, but really, it’s like mind blowing. Never would we have thought that so many people would care to read what we have to say, or watch videos that we make, or anything like that. We just kind of started it as a joke, and it’s gotten really really fun to watch.
Q: Do you think troutymouth.com has reached its highest potential? If not how far would you like to take it?
A: We sure hope it hasn’t! I think Glee does so much for people, and if we can continue to increase our following and put up new stuff, then we hope we can continue that mantra… Give people something to look forward to on a week-to-week basis, or to get through hiatuses.
Q: There is so much material that you guys use. How do you choose what to put up and use on troutymouth.com?
A: We just kind of troll, and when we see something, we’re like “That HAS to go up on TM!” Or we’ll just be chatting one day, and we just bounce ideas off of each other and it kind of evolves into blog posts. And more often than not, our followers have a big input on what we post. They’ll tweet us articles, videos, anything really, and we’ll be like “Yeah, that’s a great post right there.”
Q: What makes your blog different from other Glee based blogs?
A: You know, when we asked Jenna to do an interview for us, we kinda had to decipher ourselves… We kinda see it like this: we like to focus on connecting with other Glee fans like us. TroutyMouth.com is a place where we like to post our fan letters, our videos, our opinions… then ask for feedback. You know, on top of that, we’ll keep up with the news and recaps and stuff like that, but we’re more fan-focused, and we want to keep it that way. It makes it more fun for us.
Q: ‘The League of Doom’ has its own tab and section, is there a particular reason for that?
A: I think we thought the League of Doom was going to be more than what it was..so we made that and then it lasted for like zero time.. That will probably be changed soon.
Q: Does the ‘Fab 5’ section of your blog ever change up?
A: Whitney- We are currently going through which characters we both like right now and trying to get a new Fab Five lined up. We might have to each have our own Fab Five, depending on how we feel about different characters.
Bonnie- With characters like Lauren Zizes being “phased out” and Santana and Brittany developing their own story-lines that aren’t just with each other, we want to make the “fab five” section more of a character development thing, as opposed to a goofy list of people we love… I mean, maybe we’ll keep Sue Sylvester and Beiste for that reason, but we’ll just have to see :)
Q: Aside from the recent ‘Gleeks around the World’ project, are there any more in store?
A: Whitney- We’ve got some projects on the back burner kind of, if we ever have enough free time to actually get going on them. I will say one is a Tina video. And then there’s our Harry Shum Jr. dance project that is still going. And there is a special (hopefully ongoing) treat that we are going to have, starting on Telly’s birthday (Oct. 12) and we’re hoping it’s going to be a big hit.
Bonnie- That one is probably my favorite project of all… I seriously can’t wait for October 12th…
Q: How do you brainstorm ideas for the projects you have conducted? - How do you choose which ones to do and to let go?
A: Whitney- We usually just have an idea, present it to one another and then we both just continue to build on it. Lay out the possibilities of what it could be, what could go wrong, how to avoid that and such. Depending on which ones we do and don’t do, it usually depends on how much time we actually have to do them or what’s going on with us and such.
Bonnie- You might get a sneak peak into the conversations we have on a daily basis for a future blog post. When we have ideas…. we just seriously lay out every possibility out there… it’s pretty hilarious.
Q: What is next for troutymouth.com?
A: Whitney- Hopefully, we’ll have more of the same stuff: Every Tuesday we’ll have the Gleecap & Next week’s promo… Then we’ll always have a first listen on Fridays.
Bonnie- Then hopefully some more fun stuff. Goofy posts like “If we were writing Glee”, news posts, & maybe even some cast interviews. We are supposed to have an interview with Jenna Ushkowitz in the works. She has agreed to answer some questions for us, and we’ve sent them off… Now we’re just waiting. Hopefully we’ll get some other cast interviews too! That’s our biggest goal.
Okay, now for some FUN questions…
Q: How did you guys become friends?
A: We worked at the same place for awhile and began a friendship when we found out that we both loved the Spice Girls and that even though we didn’t know each other at the time, we both went to that concert and a friendship was formed! Then we took that energy when we found out we both love Glee, and we we’re like “This blog has to happen”. Now there’s no getting rid of one another!
Q: When did you first begin watching Glee?
A: Whitney- I didn’t watch Glee when it first aired though I’m not sure why. I went to London and saw loads of previews for it while I was over there because they were going to start airing it and I was like, “Hmm..I think I’ll give it a shot.” So we rented all the discs and watched them up as far as we could. The first episode I watched live was “The Power of Madonna”
Bonnie- I sort of watched Glee from the beginning but not religiously like I do now… Like Whitney, the first episode I really got into was “The Power of Madonna” and have really kind of been hooked ever since!
Q: Favorite episode thus far and why?
A: Whitney- This is so hard for me to answer because I just love everything. I’m going to go with “Rumours”. I love Fleetwood Mac so..that’s a plus. April Rhodes was flawless in this episode and while Will usually disgusts me, his collaboration with April Rhodes for her Broadway show was hilarious. Rachel’s version of “Go Your Own Way” was fun - especially Brittany snapping like a madwoman during it. Speaking of Britt Britt…Fondue for Two? YES PLEASE. And finally…”Songbird”. If that scene doesn’t make you cry, then something is wrong with you. The amount of emotion in that scene just blows my mind - acting on both parts was outstanding and just a really well done episode. Oh and Brad being there during “Songbird”. Love that.
Bonnie- Mine is definitely “Blame It on the Alcohol”. I just thought this episode was brilliantly done. First of all, I loved that Beiste got to sing. Second of all, it looked like a ton of fun to make. And third, it made me want to be friends with them, even more… is that possible? Haha! Oh yeah, and the music was awesome.
Q: How has Glee affected your life, if at all?
A: Whitney- It has most certainly affected my life. I’m probably gonna ramble here and won’t be able to hit all of what it’s done because it’s really done a lot for me. It’s helped me to begin to accept who I am and made me think about if what I’m doing right now with my life is really what I want or if I’m just settling. It’s helped me to be more outgoing in the sense of going more places or doing things I wouldn’t normally do and of course to meet new people. I’ve met so many people since this blog and my love for Glee started and it’s just unbelievably that I wasn’t friends with all of these people before because they are amazing. Standing up for what you believe in or myself is another good one. I have definitely been one to avoid conflict and confrontation but now I’m more inclined to stand up and tell someone when what they are saying is wrong to say or offensive.
Bonnie- Glee has definitely affected my life… In more ways than I can count really. I would say I’m pretty average… I don’t have to deal with social issues in my daily life that Glee portrays on TV, so I’m not directly affected in that way like so many people are. I have however learned so much from the show. 1) You never really know what anyone is going through. It’s taught me passion and empathy like nothing else ever has. 2) It taught me to follow your dreams. I have learned that no matter what you’re doing in your life, it’s ok. You can’t hide who you are. 3) It taught me to help whoever and whenever I can. If I’m in a position to send an uplifting message, tweet to help someone out, lend a helping hand… whatever it may be. There’s more to life than the every day agenda, so it’s good to try and make a difference in someone else’s life. Not to mention, this show literally is my pick-me-up. Any time I’m having a bad day, or I’m stressed, all I have to do is work on troutymouth.com or watch my DVD’s or DVR’s from the previous week. It literally makes me happy all the time.
Q: If you could play any character on the show, who would you choose?
A: Whitney- Okay, so I want to be Santana because who the hell wouldn’t? However …with recent developments and character growth …I’m gonna say Brittany S. Pierce. I mean my name is practically that anyways but she has really grown. I like that she’s turned into a stronger character that is going to be who she is and not have any regrets about it and I think it would be awesome to be able to have the confidence to do that.
Bonnie- Tough question. Obviously I’d love to play Santana, because she keeps it real and she’s hilarious …and she only tries to be really honest with people when they think that they suck …But I wouldn’t mind playing Tina, either. She’s just so nice and encouraging to everyone. I like that. Plus she’s dating Mike Chang…
Q: You have been asked to co-write an episode of Glee, what would your episode be about?
A: Whitney- Hard hitting questions. While I don’t have experience with this so this could sound weird, I think an eating disorder would be a good storyline to tackle. I know they kind of tapped into starving yourself and stuff in the first season when Mercedes joined Cheerios but I would really like to see more into that and how it affects the person, the family and friends…how it’s received when it’s finally out that someone has that problem and how it initially formed. I think a show like Glee..since it’s already tackling a lot of issues for teens and adults, that this would be another good one and that’s what I would want to write.
Bonnie- Oh man, this is a tough one… I really like how they investigate social issues. I’d probably tackle someone who has a drug & alcohol problem.. like maybe one of the kids has a family member that’s been affected by drugs and alcohol, and they’ve never told anyone. I think it would be good for people to see that maybe they may not be the person that it’s happening directly to, but they’re still being affected by it. Sometimes those people don’t know what to do or how to help, or even if they can help. I think if I co-wrote an episode, I’d target that.
Q: How was the Glee Live Tour experience for you?
A: Whitney- The Glee Live Tour Experience was AMAZING. I went to two shows: Chicago and New York. Chicago was planned for awhile and Bonnie joined us at the last minute. Even though we didn’t get to meet Naya and Cory like we had intended, just being at that Meet and Greet and seeing all of the Gleeks and meeting some of our followers was just indescribable. Hearing “Don’t Stop Believing” starting up, at such a loud volume pretty much will make you cry. The second concert was a whole other story. We decided to go to NY the day before the concert and we were going to be there for less than 24 hours. We didn’t have a place to stay so we slept at the airport…on the floor. Also brought the things we needed in our purses and called it good. I have never decided to do something so spontaneous..it was one of the best decisions of my life. The concert was amazing that time as well. Nothing like hearing and singing along to “Empire State of Mind” while you’re in NY.
Bonnie- Pretty much the same experience for me. I got really lucky though, and I was able to go to the private dress rehearsals in Vegas. So I saw the show before the tour started (with the exception of the encores). I was front row on the end, so I was able to high-five some of the cast, I was like five feet from Mark & Ashley during Fat Bottom Girls, and I just remember sitting back in disbelief. The whole experience was so surreal. Then Chicago happened, and that was like.. in a league of its own. We got to meet some of our followers, we got to hang out at the Meet & Greet, we got to meet some of the cast after the show… It was just another incredible trip. Then, like Whit said, New York… clothes on our back, our purses, no tickets, no hotel. Just hopped on a plane to NY and hoped for the best, and it turned out to be the best experience of our entire lives.
Q: As our conclusion, any message for troutymouth.com supporters and readers?
A: Whitney- Thank you sooo much for letting us talk at you guys every day about Glee and life and other things! Thank you for reading our posts and taking part in our projects! And I’ve gotten some amazing friends out of this Gleeventure that is Trouty Mouth and they are people that have done a lot for me in such a short amount of time, people that I can relate to and they just cannot be replaced. Bonnie- Just keep on following!
